In my pilgrimage to the Holy Land, we walked down the narrow streets to enter Jerusalem, reenacting the Palm Sunday Walk; the heat was sweltering. I saw a man and his donkey sheltering from the heat.
Being today is Palm Sunday, I revisited this memory and reflected:
When Jesus came into the city of Jerusalem, the children ran to meet him: in their hands they carried palm branches and with a loud voice cried out:
Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed are you,
Who have come in your abundant mercy!
Apart from all the precautions provided by health department how to protect ourselves from the COVID-19, I keep my faith close to my heart and remember these words:
Do not be afraid!
In these times it’s sometimes hard to remember that we should not be afraid. Careful yes, afraid, no.
Yes.
