Advice from an older person to a younger one. My favorites:
- No matter what anyone says, stay weird.
- Go easy on the makeup. You’re not as ugly as you think.
- Always be kind to your family. You’ll need each other when things get tough.
- Stop caring so much about what other people think. They are not thinking about you at all.
- Always tell the truth.
- One cat is enough cat.
- Spend all your money. Otherwise, your kids are going to do it for you.
- Cultivate younger friends. Otherwise, yours will all die off.
- Don’t listen to other people’s advise. Nobody else knows what the hell they’re doing.
This is my advice: Listen to an eight-year-old. Stay WEIRD!
What is your advice?
Very handy tips. Thank you for enlightening me 🙂
Thank you. What advice can you ad?
Great list! In our family we pride ourselves of being a bunch of nerds – I guess that goes for being weird as well…♥
Ha, welcome to my world.

And thank you for folowing mine. What advice can you give us.
I’m not even sure which of these I like the best. Nice list!
They are all good, eh. What can you ad?
It would be something along the lines of, just go do whatever you are dreaming of doing.
Sounds good to me. I would just add Carpe Diem! 🙂 Tomorrow is never guaranteed!
Seize the day it is!
🙂
Thank you for the list and video! Very coo! 🙂
You’re welcome and what advice can you ad?
I really have nothing to add to it. I think we learn as grow older, it’s a journey…
True …
Sadly, it isn’t until we are much older that most of us realize that embracing our weird is what makes us special. Great message.
Weird is winning. What’s your advice can you add to the list?
The only advice I could add was something my coach told me years and years ago – stretching is the most important thing you can do NOW, everyday, to ensure you have good mobility as you age.
Now that I’m much older, I appreciate the wisdom of those words as so many of my cohorts are complaining about knee and hip problems.
Move it and stretch it, or lose it.
Oh yah … motion in lotion
Great list. ☺ That’s my plan – stay weird!
Thanks. Good plan. What advice can you add to the list.
I’d add, “Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.”
Oh yes, good enoug is better. Thank you.
” Be You . Nobody else is qualified for the job. “
Great, You’re hired!
Hahahaha — one doesn’t even need to print out their resume.
Good advice.
What advice would you give?
Perfection is overrated – don’t bother, lol.
Too funny. That’s a good one.
Stay weird…why would I choose any other way?! Love this, Perpetua!
Laughing hard … weird is good Lois.
Ok, what advice can you add to the list?
I like the list as is!
Brilliant. the 93 year old has it right, nobody knows what they are doing!
Yup, just do your own thing. And I go back to my staying weird. What’s would you say to a younger person.
What I always say, you gotta know yourself, because everyone else is making comments and decisions based on themselves. What’s right for them is not often right for you, We all have to make our own call at the end of the day.
Yay, know they self and to each thine be true.
And you, whats you one bit of advice?
I have this note on my door that says ‘what is important right now? Think.” I always ask the kids this question because most of the time what is essential is invisible to the naked eyes.
Especually when you are young, when all the wrong things seem important
Yes, young ones will eventually realize this and learn the hard way.
As we all did..
