Here she is with a grateful smile thanking the anonymous donor bestowing $100 million to CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) to support research into mental illnesses,
“The donation is by far the largest ever given to a mental health centre in Canada and one of only a handful of that magnitude bestowed on any health organization in the country.
Philanthropy at CAMH is truly changing the future of mental illness, and creating hope for all Canadians.”
The donation may very well be in Toronto, I am just as thankful to the anonymous donor for the intensity of his generosity, I felt the aftershock all the way to Vancouver.
I am smiling with her. Make that 100 million and 1.
So much still needs to be done in the area of mental health. I hope this donation will help facilitate that.
For as long as there are people on Earth, there will always be mental health concerns and we rely on the generosity of strangers.
What an incredible gesture!
Is it ever… doing the math on my head that, how many zero is that? Whew!
I love when people who have money do something wonderful with it instead of buying yachts.
Putting it to good use. There is a saying yachts are similar to a toilet, plushing mone down the sewer.
wow.
Wow, indeed
