And when you find one, remember, “Learning is the thing for you!”
The best thing […] is to learn something.
That is the only thing that never fails.
You may grow old and trembling in your anatomies,
you may lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins,
you may miss your only love,
you may see the world around you devastated by evil lunatics,
or know your honor trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then — to learn.
Learn why the world wags and what wags it.
That is the only thing which the mind can
never exhaust,
never alienate,
never be tortured by,
never fear or distrust,
and never dream of regretting.Learning is the thing for you.”
Inspiring, Perpetua! Leaning seems a little easier via the Google search and bloggers. 🙂
I have missed you recent posts in my reader…. Sorry about that.
Apologies not necessary, Amy. You are just a very popular person and way too busy to keep all your followers happy, Internet can provide plenty. Have a good day. I have to catch up saying hello to some folks. Perpetua.
I’m not way too busy, I depend on my reader 100% to visit bloggers, and I really love to visit you and others. It gives so much joy to connect, learn, share… I’m getting a few more clicks and comments, but that really doesn’t take more than 15 min. extra. 🙂 Glad you stopped by, Perpetua! 🙂
Words of wisdom
I was a teacher and I knew nothing.
I sobered up and was taught that I needed to
“Learn to listen and listen to learn.”
Today I understand how little I know. ME
Neither can’t I since I can’t possibly know everything.
When things get me down at work at find new things to learn and share in my blog. Learning stimulates the mind and takes away the blues!
There is always something new to learn…. I reckon when I stop teaching myself, that’s when I’m giving up on life…
Gosh, there is still learning to be had even we gave up life.
learning new things makes you feel young! 🙂 Nice post!
Thank you.
At uni today I was on the edge of my chair, the teacher. I left thinking about how engaged I was in the class, and how important teachers are. Obviously teachers are everywhere and not just in the form of ‘standard teacher’ you know, but yeah.
He hit a ball with a tennis racket, and took off his shoes because it was hot. Need I say more.
Did anyone get hit by the ball and run away because of stinky feet?
No one was harmed by ball, no noses were effected, i think
Whew…. good.
