The Visitation
Before she came to Canada, she had a dream of a lady with a blue veil.
After leaving her country she dreamt of the lady again.
In her dream the lady came with an open arm, embraced her and her children.
The woman who dreams of the lady finds solace in front of the grotto at Our Lady of Mercy Parish church.
She comes early in the morning to sit in front of the lady as if the lady called her to come to visit. When she is worried about family members still living in Syria, here she sits. Just by sitting in front of the lady she feels much better.
The woman is a Muslim.
Our Lady of Mercy used to be a little house on a prairie. It was the very first church I visited when we arrived in Canada. I lived a few blocks away from the church. Now, it was rebuilt to accommodate more people and the grotto is a new addition.

OH wow so beautiful! I love Canada some of my most closest friends live there! I love your profile pic! It’s so happy!
Thank you, Michelle. Where are you from?
It’s a very mysterious image and powerful. How is there a blue glow around the figure?
Blue is the interior lighting.
It really is a powerful image!
Thank you, Amy.
I pray that you will find many more peaceful moments as you sit with our Lady.
Thank you for praying for the Muslim woman that sits with the Our Lady in Blue.
It gives so much peace sitting with the blue lady 🙂 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤
Amazingly, that’s how it feels to be with the blue lady. 🙂
One thing I miss living in the city: grottos. And the peace around it, not a noisy thoroughfare. Still, photos are great substitute.
Oh, I thought you live just outside the Parliament?
Just a few blocks. So pretty much downtown. I guess I should have said, living downtown I miss the grotto we find just outside the city. LOL. I don’t think I should post so let at night! 🙂
