“Endurance is one of the most difficult disciplines, but it is to the one endures that the final victory comes. ~ Buddha”
Dogs go through endurance test so that owners can have fun with them; dog obedience is one of the training they endure. You say to the dog sit, the dog sits; bark, the dog barks; roll-over, the dog rolls-over. This is a fun and simple way to train a dog and maybe, just maybe they become super dogs.
In my walks, I’ve met so many dogs that did not have this luxury.
This was a street dog in Mexico. I wonder what kind of life he led prior to him being found by a good man, brought him to Canada and is now living a good life.
A dog rescued being trained to be a dog fighter is now a beautiful playful dog that loves playing with stones in the pond. A stone and a pond is all what he loves to do now, no fighting.
For this dog, he endures the heat while his master tends to the garden.
Ani is our therapy dog during the long period of teachers strike days. She was there and endured all that touch, hugs, rubs, food, walks and plenty of love from all of us.
Without Ani during the strike, hours would have drag on and boring. Thank you, Ani, for enduring the humans for we are a whole bunch of whiners.
A beautiful tribute to some of our four legged friends:-) Blessings, H xxx
Yes, humans must really take care most of four legged animals. Pax.
They do endure a lot, great entry!
Thank you, Amy *snail mail*
Beautifully presented. There is so much that can be played out on this theme and dogs. Not only do their lives sometimes run as endurances, but for me, in their enduring love and fidelity, they give us strength to endure as well.
Thank you, Dale and biggest thank you for bringing a dog to your country. You are a life saver.
That’s kind — but really, he saved me. I’ve just been repaying his love and his belief in me for the past 18 years. It’s a big debtand I’d happily pay him the rest of my life if I could.
Ok, you both owe each other’s life. 18yrs seems a long time. It’s always good to have a pet as companion.
Excellent thought to use dogs as an endurance example Perpetua, especially those who had been abused. Lovely response!
Thank you, Tina.
You are indeed luck to have Ani there with you! 🙂
We all do and happy to see Ani and we all just smothered her with love. ❤
