They call The Promised Land
And I’ll be there some day
If you will hold my hand
I still need you there beside me
No matter what I do
For I know I’ll never find another you There is always someone
For each of us they say
And you’ll be my someone
For ever and a day
I could search the whole world over
Until my life is through
But I know I’ll never find another you It’s a long, long journey
So stay by my side
When I walk through the storm
You’ll be my guide
Be my guide If they gave me a fortune
My pleasure would be small
I could lose it all tomorrow
And never mind at all
But if I should lose your love, dear
I don’t know what I’d do
For I know I’ll never find another you But if I should lose your love, dear
I don’t know what I’d do
For I know I’ll never find another you
Another you
Another you “I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” ~ 1 Corinthians 14:15 Related Links:
That song brought back many memories of my youth. I find it interesting that you have taken it as a kind of anthem. I had never thought of it in the way you do but can see how it could be inspirational for you. For me it is a vast fond memory..>KB
I’m glad this brought fond memories to you, KB. /seeker.
The Seekers, Seeker, with this tune will always bring a smile to my face! 😉
Smile, though your heart is aching smile… funny how a song affects us, huh?
Lovely song, Seeker. Next time we sing along with you 🙂 Btw we love your new theme, Granny doesn’t need glasses anymore to read your blogs now 😉 Pawkisses for a Happy Sunday 🙂
Oh, Granny, I couldn’t read the old theme before, either. Thank you and Happy Sunday.
Singing can be a form of prayer and poetry and can help us access spiritual thoughts and places that are not as easily reached otherwise. I always love hearing this song by The Seekers (and the less deep but joyous “Georgie Girl” by the same group) — beautiful voices and harmonies. Thanks for inspiring some good Sunday morning reflection.
Oh yes, Georgie Girl, that tune is very catchy. Now it’s going in my head, Brett. Must play it today to get it out of my system.
Beautiful words Miss P. Just lovely.
Just like your songs when you post. Thank you, Ms. g.
“…Sing, sing a song
Make it simple to last
Your whole life long
Don’t worry that it’s not
Good enough for anyone
Else to hear
Just sing, sing a song…”
Inspiration…Seeker, Thanks
Sing a new song with tunes just for me to hear. Thank you, bpm. /seeker
what a way to praise! And pray! Faithfully Debbie
Yes!
Wow, that’s a nice version, P! Thank you! 🙂
Thank you, I learnt how to convert the video to MP3. It’s better listening and reading the words at the same time rather than watching the video.
I agree! It made it easier to get the words to sink in more!
Song is a form of prayer. I smile in relief for i am not alone in this belief! Wonderful song, thank you for showing it to me.
Bless your heart. My pleasure.
