Play is very important, I cannot reiterate that enough.
There are so many benefits in playing. For one, it’s a great exercise when the body is moving and running around. Being a playmate, friendship will flourish. It is an essential part of children’s development since it contributes to their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. This is the reason I keep telling the kids to go outside and play. As an adult, I will be the first one to take part with the children. I still love to play.
Pass forward.
Play have taken a whole new meaning today. Enter “smart” technologies. Are these technologies making the children smarter?
Ironic. This time I cannot participate. I don’t even know how to use a cell phone or iPad. The children are teaching me how to use them and I refuse to play.

I totally agree!
Any suggestions on how to encourage the kids to drop the phones for a while?
I notice that only too often, thus encouraging a lot of lazy behaviors in this generation 😦
Yah, I see it all the time in my family. Darn, and I am having a hard time breaking through. Does you daughter have a phone yet?
Smart technologies replacing smart children…
I sure hope not. I’ll mention this to the kids and see what they have to say. 😛
Wow! It really is a whole new world. 🙂
One thats sometimes hard to understand. Especially watching such young children on ipads in restaurants. At 45 I love playing still. Lol i love family gatherings. I get to push the children on the swings and kick a ball with them. Hugs and nite from Oz, Perpetua!

Sad…they are missing the fun of childhood
Hi Ken, Yah, I have to show them how you jumped up and down with joy in one of your post. 😛
Well, that’s out there. 🙂
Here, nothing has changed, (Even the corrupt are still here.)
Darn those corrupt. I hope the typhoon took them away. Are you ok, Mr. b?
Sad the children if today are missing the outdoors and nature!
I hope that this is only a stage in their life. We are encouraging the children to participate outdoors.
