Reminder ~ Slow Me Down, Lord

With the computer automation, sometimes we are expected to work faster.  Working faster does not necessarily mean working smart.  Working faster means haste.  Haste causes mistakes.  Mistakes cause waste.
Do you have a Hotmail Outlook?  I do.  When I delete or sweep the whole folder, a notice “running as fast as we can” pops up.
In order for me to live calmly in a fast paced environment, I scheduled a reminder notice on my computer.  It pops up every 30 minutes.  A simple note to myself: “Slow Me Down, Lord.”
The full meaning of this came from another clipping I know not where it came from.  It’s very old and faded.  Before it will fall into pieces, I wish to share it with you.

  2. This purrayer is beautiful, Seeker. We can’t keep up with the space of time anymore, so we have to slow down… sometimes even by force, but that’s positive, there’s no need to hurry. Slow Pawkisses 🙂

  3. Absolutely love this Perpetua. It is so true, we are expected to work so fast that sometimes we lose touch with the fact that we need time to slow down, reflect, breathe and just be!

  4. Beautiful words P.
a big reason why I want to get out of the city. Not only because I can’t seem to find a job, but to become quieter in my soul, to try and find a peace that’s eluded me all these years.

Please share your reflection. Thank you.
