Nothing is more memorable than a smell. One scent can be unexpected, momentary and fleeting, yet conjure up a childhood summer beside a lake in the mountains.  ~~ Diane Ackerman

  1. It is indeed a great sense that can bring us back in time .. I love the picture, too. Somehow it’s very … inspiring. It can mean so many things … I’m glad you are back! 🙂

  2. I love Diane Ackerman’s quote – so deeply true! However, I’ll admit that your photo conjures a more maternal response like panic for their safety than pleasure in the warm sun and water smells . . . It’s all in the experience we bring with us, isn’t it? Thanks for sharing.

    • I know how you feel about those boys. I did go up and asked them if it’s deep enough for them to dive, 26 feet deep they said. All I said I don’t want to see anybody get hurt and be careful. Since they are local boys, I said I hope you know what you are doing. They didn’t stay very long. Whew, thank goodness.

Please share your reflection. Thank you.
