Monday Evening – The World is Our Playground

baby james camping
Butterflies, ladybugs, dragonflies
grasshoppers and beetles
these are all that we need
as our little playmates for entertainment
in the field of the Lord.
Tadpoles and frogs
lizards and spiders
we hunt them down
in the abandoned lot
in the field of the Lord.
The world is our playground
nature makes us joyful
the sun, the moon, the wind, the rain
these are our brothers and sisters
as we play in the field of the Lord.
When the wind blows, we fly a kite
when the rain falls, there goes our paper boat
when the sun shines, we run to the beach
when the moon rises, we play hide and seek
The world is our playground.
Full of laughter and wonder
There is so much freedom for running around
We use our imagination to make up a game
No need for seesaw or swing
A merry-go-round is unheard of.
We can go anywhere in the world
And play a game
In the field of the Lord.

This is in response to Daily Prompt – Ode.   Come and Join, it’s fun.

Sorry about this morning, woke up on the wrong side of the bed :(.  Feeling much better now.  Ah, it’s fun to be playful, don’t need a playground after all.  Good Evening, folks. 😀
